Our latest Magento ecommerce project, Admiral Charity Cards, is a personalised charity Christmas cards and charity greeting card service. With designs for all different tastes, this quick and easy to use website offers a proofing system and the option to choose any charity customers wish from a list provided, using personalised Christmas card text at no additional cost.
The new website offers a simple and quick to access navigation, directing customers to such categories as London Scenes, Photography, Animals and Birds, Christmas Themed, Light-hearted, New Year and more. Once the design is chosen, customers can order cards with 3 simple steps: 1) Pick your chosen charity, quantity of cards, and type of print; 2) Select the greeting; 3) Personalise the inside of your card.
Company logos can then be uploaded for a fully customised effect. The process is quick, effective and highly professional, saving businesses time and money with the greeting card ordering process. Magento was the perfect tool in allowing us to create the unique features the Admiral Charity Card project required.
When customers have finished creating their card, a PDF preview is automatically generated to allow customers to see the entire inside of the card, including their logo and greeting. They can then customise text, upload signatures, and change fonts and font colours if desired. The price on the form is then calculated dynamically based on the user’s selection. Once confirmed this PDF is verified and submitted for print automatically by the system.
A host of other additional features, including highly customised views that take advantage of Magento’s layout and template system, made this one the of most challenging and rewarding Magento development projects we’ve encountered.
