I thought I’d pop along and say “su’p dogs”, or some other youthful phrase, and tell you a tiny wee morsel about the spanking new Christmas themed website and mobile phone app thingemy gig, we’ve just launched for international supermarket chain, Lidl.
A Lidl Bit of Magic features a wagon load of recipes from them’z there chefs off the telly, Nick Nairn and Lesley Waters, including videos and interactive brochures, and all sorts of bits and bobs that’ll float your Yuletide boat. I’z be damned if it don’t!
We had the pleasure of the company and services of the very fine folk at Generator Films to conjure the magic of moving pictures and imagery. And they sure know how to shoot a bit of brownie – check out this little motion pictorial treat, it’s good enough to spread on your crumpet:
We didn’t stop there my app prodding chums. Our downloadable Lidl Christmas Mobile Phone App was developed totally in-house, without any help from our mothers. It includes clever little tools to help with Christmas cooking, like recipes, videos, cooking calculators, a shopping list feature, and a tiny, tiny bottle of gin to help the day pass…I jest thee. He he.
A shopping list on a phone you say? Yes. I suppose I do. The mobile app lets users select individual recipe items and add them to the shopping list, and then mark them off as they walk round store using the clever touch screen facility. Magic! Not really, a simple matter of a little dwarf dust is all.
You can also view Lesley Waters’ recipe videos right there on your little ol’phone, so you don’t even need to turn on your noisy ol’computer. And, the cooking calculators give you the times, quantities and conversions needed to make sure everything’s cooked just right and proper, so you hardly need bother.
