You may have noticed the word ‘Beta’ above our blog. Although our new blog site is our current pride and joy, the truth is it was all a bit of an accident.

The Pixel’s blog site’s only reason for being is the amazing concept art we had drawn for our original new website design. The scene below was drawn from scratch and was bound to be our new flash based website. Firefox Wins Over Web Developers

We noticed some rather interesting statistics on the 4th Nov (the day The Pixel’s Blog featured on Smashing Magazine’s homepage, in case you’d forgotten…).

66% of users on the day were using Mozilla Firefox compared to only 8% using Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. To put this in context (just in case you’re wondering), IE usual commands a 65% market share of the web in total, and Firefox usually around 26%*. Read More…

Here at The Pixel we’re currently smack bang in the middle of producing our latest video banner for Play.com – and this time it’s for the new Sam Rockwell flick ‘Moon’.

Directed by no other than David Bowie’s son, Duncan Jones (I think he changed his name so no-one would know), ‘Moon’ follows astronaut Sam Bell – a solitary lunar employee who experiences a personal crisis at the end of his three-year stint on, well, the moon.
