Adobe Summit 2019 took place 15-16 May at ExCeL London. The Pixel were a Gold Sponsor of the event, that brings together industry leaders and brands aiming to discover strategies to transform businesses and deliver personal and engaging customer experiences.
The star-studded, two-day event featured key speakers Paul Robson, President EMEA Adobe, international human rights lawyer Amal Clooney talking to journalist Emily Maitlis, actor Eddie Redmayne, and stand-up comedian Jack Whitehall partaking in Adobe Sneaks, the event showcasing new innovations from the Adobe lab. It also featured over 300 breakout sessions and educational labs and presentations.
The Pixel were exhibiting opposite the Adobe Community Pavilion and we were joined by many of our partners throughout the course of the event – thanks to everyone that came by to chat and talk shop, it was great catching up with you all.
Time for a brief ‘Twitter tour’ summarising the key takeaways from the two days, and what we got up to…
Opening Keynote speakers included Paul Robson, President EMEA Adobe, introducing the event, Magento VP Strategy Peter Sheldon explaining Magento’s contribution & position in Adobe Commerce Cloud, Beth Burns from BT, Massimiliano Pogliani from illy caffè, and Abhay Parasnis, EVP & CTO Adobe, guiding us through Adobe Experience Cloud.
Ben Jones of The Pixel client Osprey London took to the stage to talk about the company moving over to Magento Commerce, and just how great it is to work with The Pixel :).

A brilliant first day saw us meeting and greeting a host of new faces and companies at our stand opposite the Adobe Pavilion. As the only Magento Enterprise Partner present at the Summit, most visitors were keen to gain an understanding of what Magento Commerce had to offer and how we worked with Magento as a partnered agency.
First tweet of Day 2 featured on the screen at the Day 2 Keynotes & Sneaks!:)
Next came Adobe Sneaks, a technology showcase that gives a glimpse at the cutting-edge technology currently being developed in Adobe’s R&D labs. Adobe’s engineers present proposals for the audience to vote on using the relevant hashtags on Twitter. Here’s a breakdown of the Sneaks presented at this year’s event, presented by comedian Jack Whitehall…
#AugmentedOffers – mobile apps using augmented reality to create ‘AR zones’ within airports to present personalised promotional offers that can be instantly redeemed through digital wallets.
#JourneyGenius – uses Adobe Sensei’s AI capabilities to mine past data and patterns to accurately predict a customer’s future actions, for example to identify a user before they unsubscribe.
#CarSmarts – captures automotive data concerning car maintenance giving people recommendations on car maintenance needs, helping to inform consumers when making decisions at the car garage.
#IntelligentAgent – allows people to use voice commands to talk to their documents to quickly surface relevant information and allows users to rapidly compare documents past and present.
#ExpertAssist – enables customers to perform tasks such as automatically edit images using AI through popular apps like Slack, and optimise their current tools.
#DataUnbound – a new plugin that imports Analytics data into PowerPoint allowing workspace visualisations to be accessible and automatically refreshed with data via API.
Day 2 Keynote speakers included human rights lawyer Amal Clooney talking with journalist Emily Maitlis, and actor Eddie Redmayne.
And there we have it – we had a great time, we learned a lot, roll on Adobe Summit 2020!
