Last week (22-23 October) Magento's annual European gathering took place in Amsterdam, Netherlands. MagentoLive 2019 saw the biggest ecommerce innovators and leaders come together for two days of networking, seminars, educational workshops, in order to learn about the roadmap ahead for Magento and Adobe.

Key speakers this year included Paul Robson, President EMEA, Adobe, Gary Specter, VP Commerce Sales & Customer Success, Magento, and Jason Woosley, VP Commerce Product & Platform, Magento.

The Pixel were a Gold Sponsor of the event and exhibited at stand D10. We were joined by many of our clients and partners throughout the course of the event – thanks to everyone that came by the stand to say hello, it was great catching up with you all.

As is now customary, here's our 'Twitter tour' summarising what we got up to, and including the key announcements that took place.

Gary Specter, VP, Global Head of Commercial Business, Adobe, took to the stage in the first keynote session, to highlight the tremendous growth Magento has seen in last 12 months.

Then came Jason Woosley, VP, Commerce Product & Platform, Adobe, to make some exciting new announcements about the new features coming Magento's way in version 2.3.3, including marketing platform Yotpo, and Google Shopping, being pre-installed.

Later in the day came the Magento Roadmap for the year ahead, which further explained the new features coming to Magento 2.3.3, and included the additional announcement of the exciting integration of Adobe Sensei AI technology into the Magento admin.

Day 2 included a particularly proud moment for us, as our client Science in Sport (SiS) and partners dotdigital took to the stage to talk about email marketing & working with a good team, featuring a very nice mention for The Pixel. :)

The keynote session in the afternoon included a fascinating insight into just how powerful the flexibility of Magento Commerce can be. Victor Clar, Ecommerce Head of Product, Nestlé, explained how the Swiss multinational food and drink corporation made the most of Magento to power its global operation to manage multiple brands across the world.

It was announced that next year's MagentoLive would be integrated with Adobe Summit 2020, taking place in London. And with that came the end of another MagentoLive Europe.
