Here at The Pixel we’ve always considered Bristol to be a fine place to do business; a view that seems to be shared by many if a recent report in the Bristol Media Barometer is anything to go by.
Conducted on behalf of Bristol Media, one of the biggest creative networks in the UK, the survey questioned creative companies across the Bristol-Bath region and revealed a high degree of success within the industry – a fact that doesn’t come as a particular surprise to us here at The Pixel.
- Bristol and Bath creatives are 50% more productive than the UK as a whole. Since 1999, there has been a 106% growth in productivity in creative industries across the Bristol and Bath area.
- Bristol and Bath is one of three key centres for creative industries in the UK. The others are Manchester and London.
- More than 500 million users every month view digital content produced in Bristol and Bath.
- There are 15,900 jobs in the creative industries across the Bristol and Bath region, amounting to £660m in GVA each year.
The Pixel has enjoyed a close relationship with Bristol for the past 10 years, however we’ve recently acquired larger premises and will be moving to a more central location in Bristol’s acclaimed creative quarter, Paintworks, later in the year.
We have some pretty bold plans for redesigning the layout, so once the builders have finished and the final lick of paint has been applied we’d like to invite our clients (and prospective new partners) to come and visit us and share in the exciting times that lie ahead.
