Magento for a second consecutive year has been named as a Leader by Gartner. The Gartner 2018 Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce evaluated 18 vendors and identified their ability to execute and completeness of vision.
Over the last 5 years Magento has risen to Leader, moving ahead of IBM and up alongside the leading platforms SAP, Salesforce and Oracle. The recognition highlights Magento’s ability to provide the performance, scalability and security merchants require in the vastly developing ecommerce world.
Gartner Magic Quadrant is one of the most influential reports in enterprise commerce, and further cements Magento’s growing status in the industry, having also performed well in other prominent analyst benchmark reports, including the Forrester Wave: B2B Commerce.
‘The report highlighted Magento’s key strengths… its significant growth since becoming an independent company in 2015’
What explains Magento’s rise? The report highlighted Magento’s key strengths as its significant growth since becoming an independent company in 2015, the additional offerings to its base commerce platform such as data and analytics, social selling & B2B commerce, and its marketplace connectivity including direct integration to Amazon.
