The Pixel has joined the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) as associate members

By joining the IAAP we are working with an association of organisations and professionals that have joined to define, promote and improve accessibility for the 1.3 billion people with disabilities market worldwide.

With the European Accessibility Act officially having come into force on June 28, 2025 The Pixel have invested in ongoing training, with 12 team members undergoing extensive accessibility training with the goal of becoming IAAP Web Accessibility Specialists (WAS).

As part of our ongoing commitment to creating inclusive digital experiences and accessibility, we’ve taken significant steps to embed accessibility thinking into every stage of our workflow.

• ‍Tailored Training for Frontend Developers
  We launched a bespoke training program for our Frontend team to build deep-rooted accessibility knowledge. This initiative goes beyond the basics, equipping our developers with the skills and mindset needed to design and build interfaces that are inclusive by default.‍
• Proactive Accessibility Checks in Development
  To catch and address issues early, we integrated automated accessibility checks directly into our development pipeline. This ensures that accessibility is considered at every stage, from initial coding through to QA, minimising the risk of barriers reaching production.‍
• Expanding QA With Accessibility Experts
  Our QA team has grown to include talent with strong accessibility and usability testing expertise. This added capability enables more thorough testing across a wider range of user scenarios, helping us ensure the best possible experience for all users.‍
• Improved Discovery and Triage Processes
  We’ve enhanced our discovery and triage processes to prioritise accessibility from the outset. With upgraded Jira workflows, our teams now have a clearer, more structured way to identify, track and address accessibility considerations throughout the project lifecycle.‍
• The Pixel’s Accessibility Auditing Services
  In addition to joining the IAAP and our staff training on accessibility, The Pixel have launched an accessibility auditing service for our customers: performing both automated and manual audits, highlighting key issues and offering actionable resolutions.
