Duncan Ball & Sam Varnam have been raising money for the NHS during the pandemic. Here's what they've been up to...
Duncan Ball, Client Service Director
Duncan Ball completed a charity marathon, in his garden! He ran a full marathon in his back garden and front driveway on Easter Sunday to raise money for the Bristol City Centre Hospitals Appeal, all proceeds being donated to the fantastic nurses and doctors caring for our loved ones during the pandemic. Duncan completed 108% of his target, raising £4,070 (so far) - a phenomenal effort and achievement, well done Duncan!
Unfortunately, the day did not go entirely to plan. Due to Duncan not really understanding how to work the GPS system on his watch, he actually ended up running an Ultra Marathon, a total of 32.2 miles - 6 miles longer than he intended - taking him around 5 hours and 12 minutes. Thankfully, no one was hurt.
Duncan Ball: “I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has sent their messages of support and has generously donated, I couldn’t have done it without you!"

Sam Varnam, Project Manager
Sam Varnam fundraised in support of Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity's COVID-19 Rapid Response Appeal, making a difference for our local NHS staff & teams.
He decided to go bald, with one super shiny head! Sam achieved 176% of his target, raising £440 (so far). Well done Sam! Here’s a picture of what happened on the day...
