Spectrum Brands is a global consumer goods company, home to a broad portfolio of household, personal care, and pet brands. With an expanding digital operation, Spectrum relies on Adobe Commerce to deliver a fast, scalable experience across its family of sites.

Upgrades are a necessary part of maintaining a secure, high-performing digital platform—but they can often feel like they get in the way of progress. Spectrum needed to upgrade to Adobe Commerce 2.57 without derailing business-as-usual operations or delaying other key initiatives.

A structured kickoff helped define technical dependencies and ensure alignment from the start. The upgrade was scheduled to allow BAU to continue uninterrupted for most of the project. Detailed scoping and early involvement of the implementation team ensured a clear, well-governed delivery. Strong communication, a robust project plan, and collaborative QA kept everything on track. The client relationship was key—tight-knit and responsive, just the way we like to work.
At The Pixel, we’ve refined a series of tried-and-tested delivery methods that make upgrades as smooth, predictable, and stress-free as possible. For Spectrum, that meant a carefully planned 12-week upgrade process that ran largely in parallel with day-to-day work. We involved key project stakeholders early, streamlined the upgrade path, and applied rigorous QA throughout. As an added bonus, we used the opportunity to carry out a full module cleanse, removing redundant elements and improving platform efficiency—all without extending timelines or introducing risk.
