


Bulk is one of the fastest-growing active nutrition brands globally, offering premium protein powders, vitamins, sports supplements, and fitness foods. With a highly engaged customer base and a major focus on peak sales events like Black Friday, the brand needed a digital presence capable of keeping pace with explosive traffic and transactional demand.





Black Friday and Cyber Monday are pivotal periods for Bulk — both a massive opportunity and a technical pressure point. With an eager customer base and high-intensity site traffic, even minor delays or checkout friction could lead to lost sales and missed revenue targets. Bulk needed to ensure its digital infrastructure could not only handle the volume but turn it into a strategic advantage through speed, usability, and performance.
The Pixel and Bulk co-created the strategy through collaborative workshops, platform audits, and performance modelling. We prioritised user experience, stability under high load, and ecommerce innovation. The development process included enhancements to the product detail pages (PDP), carousel functionality, and the mobile interface. The backend saw major improvements through Akeneo PIM, rigorous QA, and streamlined data structures. All of this was delivered alongside a new fulfilment model that included flexible pick-up/drop-off options and loyalty-driving features like Bulk Boost.


The Pixel partnered with Bulk to deliver a high-performance Adobe Commerce setup, combining platform improvements with strategic enhancements to the user journey and fulfilment model.
